Niels + Katharina

From the day these two met at the Winter solstice, to 6 months later they were married. A magical, whirlwind, wanderlust romance.

A very nature-loving couple, who were married at Niels' work, Aroha Retreats near Glenorchy. We wrote in white pen on their car — 'just married' with some stick drawings of them and a bunch of love hearts — and we walked up to the top of a hill for their dusk newlywed photo shoot.

All the shots were taken on iPhone. No fancy cameras, just a few friends. I arrived early, Katha was still getting ready, and I ended up doing her hair and makeup with a very natural look. She borrowed a friend's wedding dress, no shoes, and it was absolutely perfect.
